Setting the scene

New Zealand is facing a growing ageing population. The general populous are unaware of the impending change and potential drain on the care systems and economy. The reason for this is wide and varied.

Those working in the aged care industry know that there is a need to develop innovative care models that are cost effective and will meet the growing demand.

With the need growing and the wave of ageing approaching in the very near future, now is the time to acknowledge the issues and discuss these in an interactive forum.

Wesley wants to make sense and proactively share well researched innovative ways of care. The intention is that these models and knowledge should become the new industry standards.

The challenge and significant questions for New Zealand are....

  1. Can New Zealand develop innovative care models for the ageing population with the current funding?
  2. Is New Zealand aware and awake for the change coming?
  3. What are the current cultural issues affecting aged care in New Zealand

This speaker led day will discuss these issues and more while becoming a regular forum for the aged care sector. This forum is specifically about recognising the issues and beginning the journey of innovation for our industry.
